We love a triumphant return. When someone is lurking in the shadows, working on their night movements and doing their exercises or whatever, in preparation for magnificent rebellion. This is what Barbara crucified has done since they announced his meeting and plans to perform again at the end of last year. Finally the time has come, when the band touched last night (Saturday, June 7) at this year's Sweden Rock Festival, where they even made a cover of Motörhead's “Killad By Death”. Despite being separated in 2016, all the original members of Barbara were towing – the woman -Frent Mia “Coldheart” Karlsson, bassist “Evileye” Stenbacka, guitarist Klara “Force” Rönnqvist Fors and drummer Jannicke “Nicki Wicted” Lindström. They are ready to appear in More Europeans Fests this year, including another Swedish at Skogsröjet Festival, the Resurrection Festival in Spain and the La Guerre du Son Festival in France.
Karlsson did a recent interview with the Apex life styles Podcast, where she spoke in choosing the bands to gather after so long:
“In fact, we didn't talk for a few years after we separated, the break was mainly because of me; the other three [girls] He continued playing the band The Heard. And yes, I was hiding under a stone for a few years. And when I started playing again, I thought I would only play acoustic things, because that's how I felt. And then I was introduced to a process to return to the stage and first play the guitar with Donna Cannone and then the low with the egg yolks. And suddenly I saw myself in these stages again. And then, two years ago, we actually arrived and met, we just had a beer and talked, and it seemed very, very good to meet everyone. And it was like a great relief finally find them again and talk. But we don't talk about how to play or nothing at that time. We just wanted to leave then. Now maybe it was [last] Summer when I realized, like, I love to play music again, and there is nothing on the way. We feel that why we not only find ourselves and rehearse and see how to feel and just play some songs together? And we did it. And seemed to go home. Yes. It was amazing. ”
“I love the girls and missed them so much during these years. It was a lot to sue and now a lot to work. And yes, to have that chance was amazing. So, we feel that, yes, why not have a meeting now when everyone wants to play together again? And I'm really happy. And people are surprised. [They ask]'Are you the original programming?' Yeah, like, yes, of course. There is no other way to do crucified Barbara. ”
