Being a metalhead in the UK in the summer of 2025 is an expensive, but rewarding, habit; I can’t remember a year when so many bands were congregating for shows in just a two-month span, but for much of the last year, it’s felt like every other week another gig was announced that tempted mind and wallet. While it may be the midpoint of the year, one look at the gigs on offer and you could easily think that Christmas has come early.
