It took eight years for to come back with after parting with Peaceville, but they returned with their power intact. The songwriting, as always, a distinctive mix of alternative metal chug (parts of “Blood On The Sand” and “Parasites”), baroque sensibilities (“If I Could” and “All The Giants Are Dead” have some strong examples), and sweet, lyrical passages shot through with unexpected moments that are more jazzy and progressive – almost lounge-y at times (“Returning To The End Of The World,” “The Whole Where Your Heart Belongs” – both standouts of this feel). Where is known for its loud/soft dynamics, plays with a more bitter/sweet mix, mood and dynamics twisting with the complex of raw and honest emotions carried by Agnete’s lyrics and singing.
