Chelsea Grin’s debut full length, Desolation Of Eden, was a massive hit that furthered their career success, where they spent extensive time touring on its behalf. However, in August 2010, while on tour, vocalist Alex Koehler broke his jaw which would largely shape and impact his vocals going forward. Despite this setback, the band would continue forward with him and, months after this accident, began recording their second full length, known as My Damnation. Although many regard Desolation Of Eden as their magnum opus and all-around best work, I think My Damnation is far and away the peak of Chelsea Grin.
