Polish stoner/doom metal outfit Dopelord recently signed with Season of Mist and theyβre hitting the ground running with the upcoming re-issue of their 2020 album Sign of the Devil. And fans wonβt have to wait too long for that to come out, since itβs due for release on June 5.
Now, with their European tour supporting Napalm Death out of the way, they can focus on this new release. Speaking of what went into the project, Dopelord bassist and vocalist Piotr Zin explained how the band was excited to reissue the album.
βWe had just moved to our new rehearsal space. Piotr OchociΕski, our drummer, had just joined the band. There was some pressure going into the album. A long tour was booked right after it was scheduled to come out, which happened to be March 11, 2020. Either way, Sign of the Devil is definitely one of our strongest albums. We still very much enjoy playing these tunes live.β
