Melodic death metal/metalcore outfit Balmora are taking a major step in their career, as they’ve announced the impending release of their debut album These Graven Hills. Set to release on May 29 via DAZE, the album boasts 13 new tracks, with some featuring some interesting guest spots.
To mark the occasion, the band released the album’s first single “Ophelia,” which also features a guest vocal spot by Holder’s Brie Percy.
Speaking of the track, guitarist Jay Torblaa shared some insight on the lyrics.
“‘Ophelia’ is a story of betrayal, heartbreak, revenge, and forgiveness. It’s meant to highlight the nature of initial anger, action, and remorse in a hanging balance system.”
