I sure I must be incredibly late to the party. I’ve never kept up with Courteney Cox, most known as Monica on Friends, and what she’s been up to other than whenever she’s Gale Weathers in Scream. Regardless, I love knowing all the talents people have, and apparently playing the drums is one of hers.
The 59-year-old has post a few videos of her playing, but her most recent one sees her attacking Nirvana‘s beloved and iconic single “Smells Like Teen Spirit” from behind the kit. I must say, she killed that shit, staying on beat with a coy little smirk on her face. I’m not sure how far back her drumming practice goes, but she’s also shared videos showcasing other facets of her musical prowess. A couple of other videos show her playing the piano, including one time when she played alongside singer/songwriter Foy Vance.
Non-condescendingly, you go girl! I wonder what other piece of musical magic she’s gonna pull out of her hat.
