Fuckin’ A is a very funny album, and it’s a well produced work that stands out in the grindcore genre. The tracks are super catchy and entertaining, making it very funny to listen it from the first to the last song… Anal Cunt‘s approach to this grindcore music is crude and offensive, but it’s precisely these irreverences that makes the album so engaging!
The quality production is surprisingly very very good, with clear instrumentation and a very solid mix that can allow each music element to shine. The guitar riffs are awesome and the drumming is ultra energetic, providing a strong backbone to the chaotic vocals. Despite of all the raw and aggressive nature of the music, there’s like a certain polish to the sound that enhances so much the overall listening experience.
The lyrics… oh, the lyrics!! The album is FULL of absurd and provocative lyrics, delivered with a badass atittude. The humor is super dark and fully twisted, but everything’s executed in a such a way that is both shocking and amusing. This great blend of music and humor creates a super unique and entertaining album that doesn’t take itself too seriously, so why would we?
When judged on its own terms, this album is THE perfect example of how humor and music can blend. It’s a great proof of the band’s ability to explore new horizons, and challenge established norms and common taste, all while delivering a product that is both enjoyable and very well crafted. SUPER AWESOME ALBUM, and metal purist, you can cry about it!
